Chess Club
Hermosa offers excellent chess instruction through the academic year under the direction of award-winning Chess Mentor Steve Ostapuk. Students from grade 1-6 learn basic, intermediate, and advanced chess skills including history, philosophy, strategies, reasoning, logic, math, and more. Mutual respect, manners, and good sportsmanship are emphasized. Chess Club meets after school from 3-4 p.m. on Friday afternoons.
