Hermosa Montessori School’s 2012-2013 open enrollment for preschool and kindergarten begins Friday February 17, 2012 at 5:00 P.M., and ends on Monday February 20 at 4:00 P.M.
Hermosa Montessori School’s preschool program is a tuition based program for three and four year old students.
Hermosa Montessori’s kindergarten program is the entry level for the tuition free public charter school. Kindergarten students must be 5 on or before September 1. Hermosa Montessori Charter School must comply with ARS 15-184, which states, “…the charter school shall select pupils through an equitable selection process…except that preference shall be given to siblings of pupils already enrolled. A charter school may give preference to and reserve capacity for pupils who are children of employees of the school.” A student enrolled in kindergarten retains placement in the charter program each year through 8th grade.
Open enrollment is limited by our available classroom space. Historically, openings are filled quickly. Enrollment is a two part process.
Part One: Obtain an Enrollment Contract
A parent, guardian, or other adult designee may obtain an enrollment contract from the Enrollment Officer at 5:00 P.M. on Friday February 17, 2012 for the student(s) they seek to enroll. Each numbered Enrollment Contract is distributed on a first come first served basis. Your contract number will indicate your numerical placement during the enrollment process, and will determine your student’s placement during the enrollment process.
Part Two: Return the Enrollment Contract
Return your completed enrollment contract on Monday February 20 anytime between 8:00 - 11:00 A.M. or 2:30 – 4:00 P.M.
Please follow these procedures during the enrollment process:
You may arrive on campus no earlier than 5:00 P.M. Friday February 17. No one will be allowed on campus before 5:00 P.M. Ifyou arrive before 5:00 P.M., you will be asked to leave per A.R.S 13-2911: interference with the lawful and peaceful conduct of educational institutions. Upon arrival, please proceed to the main gate by the administration building. Be prepared to show identification, provide the prospective student’s name, and sign and date the enrollment log. The enrollment log will determine numerical placement if discrepancies occur.
Return the completed enrollment contract with the following attached:
- A copy of your student’s birth certificate
- $125 enrollment fee (preschool and extended kindergarten only)
- Proof of Arizona Residency (AZ Driver’s License or other items that prove you live in Arizona).
You must return the contract on Monday February 20 by 4:00 P.M. Contracts returned after 4:00 P.M. will be numerically reassigned. Enrollment contracts will be processed as soon as possible. Students not enrolled at the close of the enrollment period will be placed on a wait list according to their contract number.
